The Gilas Pilipinas national team suffered its first loss of the FIBA
Asia Cup on Friday in the semifinals against familiar foe Iran, 76-55,
in Wuhan, China.

Although Gary David, LA Tenorio and Ranidel De Ocampo each had 11 points for Philippines, it did not sustained for the gilas Pilipinas to win the game.
For the third time Iran defeated Gilas Pilipinas in FIBA Asia Cup, this year FIBA Asia Cup in Wuhan, China. Iran also defeated the Philippines in the FIBA Asia Cup in Tokyo in 2012 before repeating the defeat in the gold medal game in last year's FIBA Asia Championship in Manila.
Gilas Pilipinas will face teh China for the third spot.
